An icon in her own right and has proven to reinvent herself while taking control of her musical career. Madonna was born in Bay City Michigan and was a former dance and drama student. She reached mainstream fame in 1983 with her musical hit "Holiday". Madonna's first number one hit was "Like a Virgin which hit #1 in 1984 and the music industry and fan group became relevant that she was a force to mess with. From the years 1985-1987 she broke out with smash hits like "Crazy for You, "Into the Groove", "Dress You Up", "Live To Tell", Papa Dont Preach", "True Blue", "Open your Heart", "La Isla Bonita", and "Whos That Girl". Not only is Madonna a great pop star she also starred in her own movie "Desperately Seeking Susan" and "Shanghai Surprise". Some of her early hits in the 90's were "Vogue", "Justify My Love", and "Rescue Me".
In 1992 the big bucks rolled in when she signed with Time-Warner. In 1996 Madonna shocked the movie world with her portrayal as Eva Peron in the Movie Evita. She came back strong in 1998 with her album "Ray of Light and had several hit singles including "Frozen", "Ray of Light", "Drowned World", "The Power of Goodbye" and "Nothing Really Matters". She currently has two children and one of those children is from the Father UK film Director Guy Ritchie in Scotland.
